Regarded as “an American roots musician first order” by the Texas Music magazine, Guy Forsyth is a kind of “shaman” musician. As singer, songwriter, guitarist, harmonica player and bandleader – all passionate actor and martial arts master of the art insolite to play a musical saw – his goal is always to create magic.
Born in Colorado, Guy lived a nomadic youth when his family moved to New York, Connecticut and California, before arriving in the Midwest. The radio and record collection of his parents were his faithful companions. Guy fell in love with punk rock music and folk music commenced. At 16, he began playing the harmonica and guitar and took the teeth as a musician in “garage bands”. But the siren song of the blues had caught.
